So my back hurts. I'm clearly getting old. Either that or it's the size of my chest. Probably a bit of both. I went to circuits on Monday night with C and E and it was great in that 'havent' done any exercise for ages ooh it's going to burn tomorrow' kind of satisfying way. The plan is to go next week too. This morning, that's right, the day after the day after, it's an effort to lift my arms from my side they're so leaden. No pain no gain eh? To add to this, cos I'm lazy and won't ever let myself make two trips from the car to the door when I can load myself up like a packhorse with laptop, two handbags and lunch, then up the 3 flights of stairs at Hereward, I clearyl moved in an odd way and me old war injury's back again. (the one i got trying to shut the boot a few years ago, with hands full of many many matalan bags. Classy) So now I've got leaden arms, a twingey back and caught sight of myself in a mirrored wall in The Queensgate today and noticed when I walk very fast, I lean forward and look slightly demented. Marvellous. I look like Simon whatsisname from school who everyone took the mickey out of, who lolloped around . Him with the added attraction of the now legendary Jason Garner highlights. Looking good at the mo Helen.
Which reminds me, Red magazine had a free kaftan, which I bought thinking, well it won't fit , but I like the mag. Quelle surprise, it does fit and I like it. Or I did til I came in just now and P said "Oh you're wearing your free top out.." with some disdain. The snob. How easily we are swayed.....

Blonde Ambition
When I was blonde, I took for granted all those buttery, honey toned colours. Now I want to get there, it's bloomin yellow straw all the way. Oh for god's sake who decided it was a good idea to go dark? I look council estate. I look highlights picked through a cap. I look like one of the boys at school who had an earring and a rats tail. I look like Jason Garner's highlights used to look. How very 90's.
Hoffy's crying at the door desperate to go out. The crying really tugs at your heartstrings. It probably plays on a frequency that connects with an emotional part of your brain. Mmm. Probably. Which reminds me, must reverse the polairty of the neutron flow. (That was for you P)
